Before becoming a mom, I dedicated myself to shedding old baggage that interfered with the life I dreamed of. My goal was to align with the version of myself I desired: someone free from toxic relationships, with firm boundaries, self-love, and a healthy relationship with my body, emotions, and mind.
It's been 13 years on this journey of learning, doing, and practicing the knowledge and tools to balance my life and align it with my personal desires through self-healing. This was my primary aspiration – to become the person I was meant to be. Little did I know how my reality would transform, offering new experiences that would reshape my perspective on life, spirituality, self-healing, and myself.
Becoming a mom for the first time opened a new portal of self-awareness and commitment. Even though I had always followed routines and maintained discipline toward my goals, motherhood presented a new level of growth and expansion. It wasn't about the things I did, such as morning routines or balancing personal life, business, and motherhood. It was more about how I responded to challenges and maintained the flow in the face of resistance. Learn how to balance your spiritual and personal growth with your role as a mom here
If you're a mom, you understand that raising a child involves daily mini-challenges, constant disruptions to routines, and unexpected changes. You never know how things will unfold or if they will match your expectations. Expectations tend to fade as you learn to adapt to the flow of each day, at least this has been my take and experience.
My journey of self-healing and spiritual growth changed significantly after becoming a mom. The perfect morning routine, peaceful moments for reflection and journaling, and continuous efforts to improve my human experience were overshadowed by daily unexpected situations that demanded resilience and patience. While I still prioritize my self-practices and routines for balance, I've learned to let go of rigid scheduling. Flexibility has become essential, and I find myself stretching beyond my previous limits.
Now, let's explore five reasons how we're healing through motherhood:
Prioritizing Others: Parenthood requires putting your child's needs ahead of your own, especially in the first year of their life. This tiny human relies on you for survival and to navigate the world. Your self-importance is constantly tested, and you must learn to strike a balance with boundaries, while still prioritizing your child. This shift in focus has taught me valuable lessons about service and compassion for others.
Ego Battles: The ego becomes louder and more uncomfortable as daily situations challenge it. It ventures outside its comfort zone and confronts the unknown. Sleep deprivation and constant crying can make your ego question your decision to become a parent, leading to self-doubt and comparisons with your previous life. This ego battle has provided an opportunity for me to become more aware of my inner dialogue, beliefs, and mental resilience.
Triggered Wounds: Unresolved issues and buried memories resurface rapidly, leaving little room to avoid inner work. Becoming a mom has illuminated dark spots within me. For instance, I realized that I got upset with my baby when he was fussy or refused to sleep, triggering an inner child wound. Many other issues have also come to light, demanding acknowledgment and healing, currently, I'm navigating and deeping into inner child work. who could have thought?!
Redefined Love and Forgiveness: Parenthood introduces a unique and unconditional love that defies description. This love pours from your heart without fear of reciprocation. Children love without conditions or barriers, and as a parent loving them with no measure, you also forgive their mistakes easily, without holding grudges. I've experienced this love and forgiveness firsthand, both as a parent and from my child.
Rediscovering the Capacity to Love: The love you pour into your child begins to take over you in a way that can't be stopped. It's a love virus with no remedy. Even when I feel resistance, I can't help but feel this unconditional love coursing through me, opening my heart and connecting me to others. Interacting with my baby boy has allowed me to expand and open my heart in ways I never imagined.
I can honestly say that I'm confident you can relate. Parenthood has tested your life like never before, demanding a great deal from you. This applies equally to your journey of personal and spiritual growth. Parenthood amplifies these experiences, limiting the time you can dedicate to them compared to your pre-parenting life. It also places you in an ongoing process of self-discovery, where you must create mechanisms to remain true to yourself along the way.
From my own experience, I firmly believe that parenthood offers a unique opportunity to accelerate and reshape your healing journey. It transforms your relationships with yourself and others. The potential for spiritual growth is truly remarkable. It's an experience worth embracing for us as mothers. This is something important to remember during those moments of exhaustion from sleepless nights or challenging days filled with nonstop crying.

I'm an Intuitive healer, and Conscious Lifestyle mentor, trauma-informed coach, author, & mom. After facing bulimia disorder, trauma from abortion, depression, childhood abandonment, ancestral trauma, toxic relationships, and a poor and victim mindset, I decided to take responsibility for my life, stop the struggle, and create a new life design in alignment with my soul.
Over 13 years of inner work, I discovered the importance of understanding that we are MULTIDIMENSIONAL BEINGS: body, emotions, mind, energy, soul & more. We need to heal and integrate every part of our multidimensionality in order to transform with long-lasting results & design the life we desire. Today I keep teaching the basis of self-healing, spiritual transformation, and lifestyle design led by the soul while balancing my role as the mom of Zen.
